Our client is a large chemical manufacturing company with a number of plants globally. They have a top tier COMAH chemical manufacturing facility in the North Lincolnshire area and are looking to bring in a permanent Project Engineering Manager for the site.

 

Leading the site’s Projects team, in this role you will manage the development and execution of the 5year Capital plan for the site, providing the interface between corporate and site management teams, to ensure the plan meets the needs of the business.

 

You will be responsible for the management and coordination of the Site’s Project Engineering functions within budget and in compliance with Site quality, safety, health and environmental (QSHE) procedures and Engineering Standards.  You will ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with our clients engineering standards/procedures/processes as well as statutory requirements, whilst also ensuring the availability of up-to-date design information.

 

You will take responsibility for the development of the Site’s Project engineering capability to match the changing needs of the business; maximising the team’s contribution through targeted technical support and timely implementation of projects in partnership with the Operations and Maintenance organisations.

 

To be considered for this position, you will have:

A degree in a relevant engineering discipline, to chartered status

Proven capability in managing, developing and motivating multi-discipline teams

In-depth knowledge of project and programme management tools and techniques, and the ability to demonstrate value from their effective deployment

Sound knowledge of current legislation, statutory and engineering standards requirements: in particular CDM, Pressure Systems, Lifting Equipment/Operations and British Engineering Standards.

The ability to build effective relationships and influence across all levels of the organisation
