Process Safety Engineer - Permanent Staff - Speciality Chemicals - Midlands
Our client is a well-established chemicals manufacturer based in the Midlands area. The company has enjoyed significant capital expenditure over the past couple of years and an opportunity has now emerged for a Process Safety Engineer to join the team. Your task will be to review, assess and improve site safety processes in line with internal and external regulations and standards, and in the process achieve zero process safety incidents.
You will create, implement and maintain process safety procedures, providing advice and support to engineering, operations and maintenance functions, providing training where necessary. Specifically, you will lead and support:
- Risk assessments,
- HAZOP Studies,
- LOPA Studies and SIL Assessments,
- ALARP Demonstrations,
- Hazardous Area Classification Studies,
- Predictive Modelling.
You will also provide site specialist support for the company's environmental permit and COMAH safety support. The role will suit a degree-qualified chemical engineer who has experience in a Top-Tier COMAH chemical manufacturing environment, who has experience in process safety and a genuine interest in specialising in this area. This is an interesting and varied role with a route to management in place for the right candidate.
