Maintenance Planner

We have an opportunity for an experienced engineering planner/ scheduler to come and join us, taking ownership for creating and planning all of the engineering work to drive improved safety, machine efficiency and compliance. 

The role will be an integral part of our engineering team working closely with both the engineering leadership team and the technicians alike, also this role will interface with our internal customers including safety, production and quality. 

There will be a major project to assess and then improve how we plan and schedule our maintenance activities and have a key input to root cause analyses of repeat machine faults. Also to develop a weekly maintenance schedule that is mapped to the resource available within the business and also subcontractors for specialist works. 

We have planned shut downs and you will be responsible for two key elements within these; firstly you will be a key member of planning each shut down and assessing the business priorities during the shutdown. Also you will develop a clear plan for a rolling 2 year period for all assets to cover all major works required. 

About you

You will be an trade qualified engineer or technician with experience of planning and scheduling engineering activities with in SAP, you will be an excellent communicate with and ability to both understand and interpret information given by non-technical people and use this to help with the engineering planner. You will also have a passion for health and safety and you will use this to help drive compliance in the completion of the work orders.

• Base salary up to £38,000
