Our client is looking for a EC & I Engineer to carry out the following duties on GMP Pharmaceutical/Food manufacturing projects.      

General

•As part of the discipline team, deliver Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation engineering conceptual and detailed design specifications, drawings, calculations, and technical solutions in the delivery of customer funded tasks and projects. • Ensure that procedures, codes and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities. • Produce and review calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation and technical reports. • Produce and review technical Scopes of Work, assess tender returns, and provide technical bid recommendations, based on technical clarifications made.• Provide technical support to those packages throughout the design, construction, installation, commissioning, operation and decommissioning phases of the project to ensure that the Design Intent is maintained. 


            Qualifications• A degree in, electrical, instrumentation or controls engineering, or equivalent industry experience.• Suitable Professional Qualification preferred.• Relevant experience of Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Design Engineering processes, ideally in the Pharmaceutical or Fine Chemicals industries. (Individual discipline and transferrable skills will be considered.)• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.• Excellent analytic, problem-solving and decision-making skills.


                Specific Role requirements for current assignments• Ideally, experience of Primary contract pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.• Experience of cGMP environments.• Ideally, experience of validation documentation systems.• Experienced in completing site technical survey (LV electrical supply, controls and instrumentation scope).• Technical review of EC&I Package documentation.• Experienced in producing Control Philosophies / System Specifications, Electrical and Instrumentation Installation Specification, Instrument Datasheets.• Comfortable dealing with client representatives, suppliers and package vendors.• Specific experience of Purified Water System Generation and Distribution, Chemical Reactor systems and Utility Systems.
