I’ve only ever worked within engineering recruitment since entering the profession back in 1993, starting out as a Trainee Recruiter and eventually becoming Associate Director of a £600m+ turnover corporate engineering recruitment business.
It’s great that through my time in recruitment I have gained experience across all of the main engineering disciplines (Civil, Structural and Architectural, Building Services, Mechanical/Piping and Project Services) carrying out ‘hands on’ recruitment in to all of them.
I’ve developed this knowledge in to managing sizable teams across all of these disciplines when managing a major UK General Engineering recruitment business and have a very good understanding of client’s requirements. My clients range across all the major sectors e.g. Chemical, Oil and Gas, UK Manufacturing, Water Treatment, Life Sciences & Nuclear.
I would however quote my main specialism as ‘Electrical Control and Instrumentation’. I have a HNC and BA (Hons) in Business Management and I used this knowledge to conceive and develop a large EC & I recruitment team, recruiting personnel at all levels: hardware and software, design through to site. I would like to think that with 20+ years’ recruitment experience I can now finally state I’m a knowledge leader in my subject. I have a strong network of contacts and candidates and I’m consultative in my approach to both. Due to these reasons I can help and support any business or candidate in devising their next steps.
